Is it a good choice to go against obama

Article :http://www.progressive.org/wx120910.html

SUMMARY:
It would be extremely divisive within the Democratic Party, and it would drive a wedge between the largely white left and the overwhelming majority of African Americans at the grassroots, who constitute the party’s most loyal constituency. The last thing we need is to incite racial animosity on the left.

OPINION:
I think it is okay to go against something that you do not agree with.
But it is a different story when you are going against the president.
It could get really difficult and cause a lot of problems.

Rick Perry Interview with Jon Stewart

Rick Perry and Jon Stewart talk about the federal government having more control over the state government. Rick Perry thinks the federal government should not have as much power as they have, he is "fed up" with it. Rick Perry is a republican according to my understanding and research so he is conservative but is stating liberal ideas because he wants to change the government power structure fast. He wants states to have more freedom because states like the way the run things and have gotten success from it. They don't need the federal government stepping into everything. As Rick Perry, said they need to be there just for the basics. A consequence of this though is that when the federal government is needed they won't step in and change or fix what needs to be.

Research Questions !

Why are Republicans hopeful their party will gain Congressional seats during the
2010 midterm elections? What factors might disrupt these hopes for the Republicans?

Republicans are hopeful to gain Congressional seats during the 2010 midterm elections because most of the seats are Democratically owned at the moment. This means it is very easy for the Democrats to pass there legislator. They want to slow down Democrat progress and increase their own. If the Democrats who are running also win there the Republicans will have to wait for the presidential elections.

Explain the reasons the Tea Party formed and what message this sends to both
Republican and Democratic parties. What impact do you think the Tea Party will
have on the 2010 midterm elections?

The Tea Party feels Congress is not listing to the people. They want smaller government and were created to change this. The Tea Party was created with Republican money so I feel its the Republicans trying to resell there package again because they cant under a Republican title because Bush ruined that. The impact is its taking votes away from the Democratic and Republican partys meaning they probably wont win much but there harming the other partys. This may be what the Republicans want.

Meg Whitman's secret weapon

Link: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/10/30/IN9L1G27L7.DTL

Summary : Former Gov. Pete Wilson is the only politician to have beaten Jerry Brown in an election. In 1982, Wilson, then-San Diego mayor, trounced Brown, then California's bigfoot governor, in the race for U.S. Senate 51 to 45 percent. Now Wilson serves as Meg Whitman's campaign chairman. On Thursday, he told me not to believe polls that show Whitman losing by as much as double digits. Whitman, he says, has a real shot at beating Brown.

Opinion: I think if the numbers are showing Brown is winning then he will win. Pete Wilson would have to something spectacular to get Meg Whitman out of a double digit loss. He has beat Jerry Brown before but that does not mean he can do it again. Meg Whitman just needs to step up her game and not let others win this election for her.

The Race for Governor is too close to call

Article Link: http://www.npr.org/blogs/itsallpolitics/2010/10/21/130720705/if-two-people-really-want-to-be-governor-of-california-why-not-let-them

Summary: Meg Whitman has spent over 140 million dollars on her campaign and she still is not winning significantly against former governor Jerry Brown. She has to many unanswered questions and the same with her opponent Jerry Brown. They both have mysteries about them. Meg Whitman spends so much and is still not getting the results she desires. Jerry Brown is still hanging in there even after the "whore" comment problem.

Opinion: They both need to come out and say what exactly what they are going to do so that we can make a clear decision on who we should choose for governor. Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown need to also work out all of the past mistakes and problems they have.

What will Meg Whitman do to improve our economy

Summary: Meg Whitman was being interviewed on how and what she will do to improve the economy. Also being interviewed about Jerry Brown's whore comment. Meg Whitman claims that she can bring the country out of debt and created more jobs. She claims this because when she was working with Ebay her job was to create jobs and she has experience in managing money. She think she is the best choice for the governor of California.

Opinion: I agree with Meg Whitman. She has the experience, she knows how to work with and manage money well. This state needs to get more jobs out there and get more money. To regarding the "whore" comment. I think Jerry Brown made a huge mistake in saying that to her. I mean the state does not need a person that in his best defense says things like "whore" to other candidates of governor of California.

Meg Whitman a whore?

http://scaredmonkeys.com/2010/10/08/california-governors-race-jerry-browns-campaign-calls-republican-candidate-whitman-a-whore/

Article :The California Governors race has been reduced to the Democrat Jerry Brown’s campaign calling republican challenger Meg Whitman a WHORE!!! Really. First we have the politically convenient sliming of Whitman with Gloria Allred and the sudden appearance of illegal immigrant maid Nicky Diaz who would risk deportation over trumped up allegations against Whitman. Now we have class personified of Brown’s campaign, males might I add, calling Meg Whitman a whore. As the Left Coast Liberal aptly states, and they should know because those Democrats are experts are whores.

We are waiting for a comment from NOW condemning the actions of Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown’s campaign. After all, does the National Organization of Woman not try and stop such demeaning treatment of woman? Whitman’s campaign released the following, “The use of the term ‘whore’ is an insult to both Meg Whitman and to the women of California. This is an appalling and unforgivable smear against Meg Whitman”. NOW, we are waiting … Oh the hypocrisy.

Summary: Jerry Brown called Meg Whitman a whore. Whitman says that was completely ignorant and an insult to all women. Many people thought that was inappropriate and things like that are supposed to be said.

Opinion: My opinion is that Jerry Brown should not of said that. It is gonna convince women not to vote for him. That comment might of lost the race for him. Meg Whitman is now probably gonna take the lead because of that. There is no way woman are going to let that slide .
